Iecava Corps
About us
The Salvation Army in Iecava started its activity 20 years ago and has existed until now, through changing times and leaders over the years.
Today, this small church is attended by groups of people of different ages, who have the opportunity to take part in various activities. Starting with the very youngest children, who have the opportunity to attend baby music classes, where they learn new things, develop their creativity, play games and sing songs together with their parents. Slightly older children can attend the Kids’ Club, spending time together and learning to love God and the people around them.
Young people can also find a place to belong and attend a youth meeting, getting to know each other better and learning to support each other. Middle-aged and older women take part in a Home League afternoon, where they sing songs together, spend time in conversation and fellowship, and can also learn new and practical skills.
People can take English classes to learn the basics of speaking and writing. For someone who is hungry and in need, there is an opportunity to fill up with warm soup.
And every Sunday there is a service where the congregation comes together to seek, worship and praise God.
