In The Salvation Army we are motivated by our faith in Jesus. We believe that it is important to care for all people without discrimination. Many things can happen to people in their lives – families break-up, people fall into addictions, loose their homes or suddenly find themselves in poverty. Many people in Latvia are finding themselves in very difficult circumstances right now. We want to help as many people as we can with the resources that God has given to us.
The Salvation Army is an organisation with many years of experience of working with people who are vulnerable and marginalised, all over the world. We try and offer practical help and advice. We believe that knowing Jesus makes a positive change in people’s lives and we are ready to share our stories with people who come to us, but we are not forcing religion on anyone and will always do what is in our power to help.
Within this part of the webpage you can see the different ways we are trying to help people in Latvia. As you can see, we are involved with helping people of all ages and in many different circumstances.
